Industrial Technology Development Institute - Department of Science and Technology
CALL FOR PAPERS
SPECIAL SESSION DESCRIPTION
This session will deal with the delivery of analytical testing and calibration services at a national and international level. Indeed, in order to meet the demands of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSME), local government units, universities, and other stakeholders, it is important to provide many services that go beyond testing and calibration, and offer facilities for research and development, training to different professional profiles and support to enter international markets.
The OneLab initiative (Department of Science and Technology -DOST, Philippines) will be presented. OneLab has created a strong network of testing and calibration laboratories in the Philippines, both from the government and private sectors, and they collaborate to meet the needs of various stakeholders, ensuring the quality and safety of raw materials and products. It has even extended its network by having member laboratories from nearby countries, providing technical services for current needs and emerging concerns.
The presentation of other initiatives and case studies from different countries is encouraged.
